It is incredible to note that 2023 marks the 23rd year of our signature event. While much has changed in the world and on the Concordia Campus over that time, many things remain very much intact. Our values, our promise to the community and our collaboration.

The desire to make a notable difference in the community and deliver a memorable experience for our golfers and sponsors drives the people who volunteer for this event. We offer kudos to those who invest their time to make this event a success. Our committee has a membership of talented and highly motivated people. Some of them have been with the committee for as long as we have been organized and continue to guide into continuous improvement.

We continue to enjoy excellent partnerships with all of you who rise to the challenge each year – golf clubs in hand and heart-on-your-sleeves – to ensure this event is a success year after year. Our partnership with the Concordia Hospital, Concordia Foundation and Concordia Wellness Projects Inc. gives us meaning and the reason for this event.

Day Surgery Completed

We were thrilled to have met and exceeded our fundraising goal the past year years and we are thrilled to report that the new Day Surgery at the hospital has met its goal and construction has been completed welcoming patients and staff to a new sparkling space. and in 2021 we were able to deliver the much-needed Ultrasound equipment to the hospital. A special thank you to PCL Constructors for the outstanding work with us on the tournament as well as in completing the project in record time and under budget.

Stepping Farther: Transforming Surgical Care for Joint Replacement

Our “Cause” and focus for 2022 was to raise funds to renew the Operating Room at Concordia Hospital to alleviate the backlog of surgeries. We announced this campaign last March and have been working in the background to raise the funds for what we are calling “OR#5”. Help us give peoples’ lives back. Read more about this on our website. A huge thank you to the Kothari Family for their gift of $150,000 for this project as well as the proceeds from the golf tournament that is making this a reality.

Our next venture is to look ahead to 2028 when we will celebrate the Centennial of Concordia Hospital or “Concordia 100 in 2028”. Our fundraising efforts this year will start to focus on the Centennial Fund for the future needs of the Concordia Community.

On behalf of each volunteer, committee member and the Concordia Foundation Board and staff, we thank you and look forward to seeing you on August 16, 2023.

Let’s chip this one in together!
